Why are people so afraid of being alone? I don’t mean alone in the sense that they live on the top of some remote Andean mountain as a hermit. I mean alone as in not having someone to fall asleep with, someone special, et cetera. It seems like a lot of people I know from college are getting married. I think a lot of that is they are afraid of being alone so they hold onto what they have. Now that isn’t necessarily a bad thing. In fact I really do hope it works out for them. However, it’s not the best idea for most people. What is it they are so afraid of that they’ll either stay in a shitty relationship or so desperately try to find love that they end just getting hurt more? Why torture yourself? I dunno, I’d rather sleep alone than sleep with someone just so that I”m not alone.
