New Sexiness
I was playing around on the internets and re-stumbled across script.aculo.us. It’s basically a sweet-ass set of Javascript libraries for AJAX stuff and UI polish. From their site:
script.aculo.us provides you with
easy-to-use, cross-browser user
interface JavaScript libraries to make
your web sites and web applications fly. What’s inside? animation framework,
drag and drop, Ajax controls
DOM utilities, and unit testing.
I’ve added a bit of script.aculo.us to my site. If you look at the lower five posts you’ll notice that the excepts now longer show and have been replaced by ’show excerpt’ text. Go ahead and click that text. I’ll wait … … … ok wasn’t that fun and cool? Look at the sexy slow scrolling effeft. I sure like it. If you click the text … oh wait it’s changed to ‘hide excerpt’ now. How cool! If you click ‘hide excerpt’ … it’ll do just that. What do you think?
I have some ideas of other ways to use script.aculo.us:
- add a show/hide all excerpts link
- make my links and blog roll customizeable so that you, the reader (and hopefully commenter) can order my links to your liking.
Those are the only ideas I have right now. But I’ll add to the list if I think of any more. Also, please suggest ideas if you have them.
can you make it scroll faster?
